How to Update Your EIN in SAM.gov If You’ve Had a Business Change
Did your business recently change structure? Did the IRS update your records? You may need to update your TIN (EIN) in SAM.gov.
Follow these steps:
Go to SAM.gov and log in
Click on “Entity Management”
Choose “Update Entity” and then “TIN and IRS Consent”
Enter your correct EIN and legal name from your IRS letter
Upload your CP-575 or 147C confirmation if possible
It’s that simple. But if you submit incorrect info or miss a field, SAM.gov will reject your registration.
Avoid costly delays. The Federal Processing Registry can help you update your SAM profile, correct IRS mismatches, and stay eligible for contracts.
