What to Do When You’re Locked Out of SAM.gov

Nothing’s more frustrating than needing to update your SAM registration—only to find you’re locked out.

The problem often starts with Login.gov. If you forget your password or lose access to your two-factor device, you may not be able to log in at all.

Here are steps to recover your SAM.gov login:

  • Visit login.gov and reset your password

  • Complete 2FA or use backup codes

  • If your SAM account isn’t linked, reconnect it through Entity Management

  • If your admin left the company, submit a notarized reassignment letter to GSA

The Federal Processing Registry can help you resolve access issues and make sure you don’t miss out on contract opportunities.
